Our Origin Story

The idea for Pet HelpMate was born when our founder, Rolando McFarlane, faced the challenge of juggling a busy work schedule with caring for his three dogs and two birds, all of whom he had rescued. Balancing his professional life with the emotional and physical demands of caring for his pets sparked an idea—what if there was a trusted, reliable service that could provide the same level of love and attention that he gave his own animals, but for other busy pet owners?

Rolando’s dedication to his pets became the driving force behind Pet HelpMate. He knew firsthand the importance of having peace of mind when entrusting someone with your pet's care, which fueled his passion for creating a service that reflects his values of compassion, reliability, and convenience.

With these principles in mind, Pet HelpMate was created to offer a wide range of pet care services, from in-home pet sitting and dog walking to pooper scooper and pet shuttle services.
