By accepting the Service Proposal, whether through a paper proposal or an online Fee Quote, you agree that these services will continue on a recurring basis until canceled in accordance with these Terms.
You may cancel your services at any time, without any cancellation fees. To cancel, contact your local Service Provider directly or call Pet HelpMate at 1-805-PET-HELP. You may also cancel through your online Customer Account at https://app.pethelpmate.com/account if you are a residential client. All unpaid balances for services rendered prior to cancellation will be due upon termination.
Payments are due according to the payment plan chosen at the time of service acceptance. Where applicable, local sales tax will be added. You are responsible for any reasonable collection fees or attorney’s fees incurred if your account requires collection efforts to bring it current.
Upon accepting services, you’ll provide a credit card or ACH information for automatic processing. Your payment information will remain secure and will only be used for recurring payments to Pet HelpMate. Should your payment method fail, you’ll have ten (10) business days to update it; otherwise, Pet HelpMate reserves the right to suspend or terminate service.
By providing a cell phone number or email address, you agree to receive communications related to service, billing, and customer support, which may include automated calls, texts, or emails.
With your permission, we may provide electronic versions of documents related to your account, including notices, disclosures, and account records. Electronic documents will be sent via the email address you provide. This does not guarantee all documents will be provided electronically but allows us to do so when appropriate.
Refunds are not provided unless the error is on our part. If a refund is given for any other reason, it will be subject to deductions for bank/credit card fees and prorated services where applicable. Account credits may also be provided on a case-by-case basis and can be applied to your next invoice.
If you’re not fully satisfied with a service, please let us know within 24 hours, and we will do our best to address your concerns within the guidelines of these Terms.
Changes to the service or these Terms will be communicated in writing. Additional charges may apply for modifications, and clients will be notified 30 days in advance of any pricing changes.
Pet HelpMate offers a range of services, including pet waste removal, yard deodorizing, pet shuttle services, pet sitting, dog walking, and more. Service schedules are established based on the agreed-upon frequency and general time windows (morning, afternoon, or evening) specified when setting up your service plan. While we strive to maintain consistent schedules, specific visit times may vary depending on location, seasonal demand, route optimization, and unforeseen circumstances.
For outdoor services such as pooper scooping and yard deodorizing, our team operates from dawn to dusk in most weather conditions. If extreme weather or other unsafe conditions arise, services may be rescheduled, and we will notify affected clients promptly. Regular services may also be affected by holidays; clients will be informed ahead of time.
For pet sitting, dog walking, and shuttle services, we work closely with clients to arrange preferred times, though some flexibility may be required due to factors such as traffic, weather, or other variables. We ask that clients provide any necessary access (keys, security codes, parking permits) and ensure that access points are clear and unobstructed. If Pet HelpMate is unable to access the property due to locked entryways, missing keys, or other access issues, clients will be notified, and the visit may be charged as completed.
Pet HelpMate is committed to providing high-quality services on the agreed-upon dates and times, within the scheduled time frames, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and cleanliness.
For pet waste removal, clients should ensure that access points, such as gates, are unlocked and free of obstructions (e.g., furniture or padlocks) and that any aggressive pets are secured away from service areas. If access is blocked or hazardous conditions are present, such as icy walkways or storm debris, services may be postponed, and clients will be notified promptly.
For pet shuttle services, pets should be prepared for transport at the scheduled pickup time, and any necessary carriers, leashes, or other specified items should be provided at the pickup point. In cases of delays due to weather, traffic, or safety concerns, we will keep clients updated throughout. Pet HelpMate reserves the right to decline transportation if a pet displays extreme aggression or anxiety that could compromise safety during transit.
The safety of our team members and your pets is a top priority. Pet HelpMate happily works with friendly pets, but for the safety of all involved, we cannot complete services if an aggressive or severely anxious animal poses a risk.
If we encounter an aggressive pet on-site, services such as yard cleanup, pet sitting, or dog walking may be halted immediately, and clients will be notified and charged for that visit. Should an employee be bitten or attacked, they will leave the premises immediately to seek assistance, and the yard or service area will be left in its current state, with services marked as completed. All medical expenses resulting from any pet-related injury will be the client’s responsibility. Additionally, if a pet shows signs of aggression, clients may be required to provide proof of current vaccinations.
Pet HelpMate may conduct a brief temperament assessment before dog walking or pet sitting services to ensure a safe interaction with your pet. We reserve the right to assess service viability on a case-by-case basis and may refuse or discontinue services for any pet demonstrating aggressive or unsafe behavior.
This approach helps us maintain a safe and positive experience for both our team and your pets.
Pet HelpMate is fully licensed and insured to provide services with no less than $1,000,000 in general liability coverage.
In case of uncontrollable events (e.g., extreme weather, acts of God), Pet HelpMate reserves the right to delay or cancel services as needed. These delays do not constitute abandonment, and services will resume as soon as possible.
Pet HelpMate is a locally owned and operated business, fully responsible for all actions and services provided. Our operations are tailored specifically to meet the needs of our local community.
If any part of these Terms is deemed unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
Any disputes arising from these Terms will be governed by local state laws. Unresolved disputes will first be mediated and, if necessary, moved to arbitration.
If you breach this agreement, Pet HelpMate may retain any prepaid amounts as liquidated damages.
Pet HelpMate’s acceptance of partial payments or failure to enforce a right does not waive its rights under these Terms.
These Terms constitute the complete agreement between you and Pet HelpMate, superseding all prior communications or agreements related to services provided. No oral agreements or promises are part of these Terms.
